Styles and designs of Cafeteria in Panama

Updated: Nov 3, 2023

When we think about the design of coffee shops in Panama, we seek to meet the needs of customers, offering them a cozy place where they can enjoy with their loved ones a nice dessert or coffee, to achieve this we must raise a style which can be adapted in the area where the local will be found, for this we present some types that can help you at the time of design:

Rustic Cafeterias: they are establishments that offer warmth and comfort, where people can relax and go to chat quietly.

What makes it pleasant is the predominance of wood in the furniture. In addition, it is usually accompanied by sofas or comfortable chairs.

These establishments are often found in rather cold countries or regions. However, it is also possible to find them in warmer places.

Modern Cafeterias: This style of cafeteria design has been gaining strength in recent years, especially in large capitals and tourist areas, mostly frequented by young people.

In this style, the simple shapes of all the furniture stand out. Also the contrast of shapes and distribution of objects, and even gives the feeling of a certain coldness that is completely offset by the different types of colors.

Vintage Design: These are cafeterias decorated with objects from the 1930s to the 80s, what makes these establishments stand out is the amount of antique objects that you can find. The most surprising thing is to see the contrast between these objects and the current ones.

They are very interesting and special environments, which surely will not leave you indifferent.

Common Cafeteria: In these cafeterias usually have a mixed decor and may have wooden furniture with some objects that can be vintage or modern, there is no clearly marked design. In general, they are usually focused on a functional use.

This type of cafes are usually found in museums, shopping malls or promenades offering a pleasant atmosphere and in many cases with excellent views.

Not only are cafeterias defined by their styles but also by the types of design, as there are two types of design:

Closed cafeteria design: The closed design refers to those cafeterias that, by means of small walls or furniture, divide the space into small sections or islands. The objective is to grant certain privacy to the clients.

Open café design: Open design means that the customer's privacy ends where their table ends. A typical example of this type are Startbucks-type coffee shops, or the typical neighborhood coffee shop.

Below we share some coffee shops that we can find in Panama where we can observe the decorations and the atmosphere it creates:

2. Siete Granos Via Argentina:

3. The Coffee Bean and Leaf:
